For many of the women these shelters support, a phone or a laptop is not an option. Pen and paper is. It needs no charge, no password and no wifi. And it should be beautiful, because a fresh start deserves something to be proud of. Somewhere private to write a plan, a feeling, a list or a dream, and to begin again on her own terms.
